You are entitled to transfer R4 000 000.00 per lifetime per individual if older than 18 years to an overseas account. TreasuryOne, in co-operation with Investec Bank Limited, allows individual clients to buy their foreign currency for these investments at very competitive exchange rates. Please follow the following steps to make use of this unique facility:
Step 1
Obtain a SARS tax clearance certificate (in respect of foreign investment) for the ZAR amount to be transferred offshore.
Step 2
Fax or e-mail us the following documents:
- BoP (Balance of Payment) form completed with your relevant personal information. Form can be obtained from us via e-mail (brannigan@treasuryone.co.za).
- Original SARS Tax Clearance(FIA001).
- Original MP1423 SARB form.
- Certified copy of green ID.
- Copy of Bill of Utility (water and electricity account).
- Proof of overseas bank account details (TreasuryOne can assist with opening an account at Commonwealth Bank in Australia).
- Proof of deposit to the Investec account, via EFT only:

Step 3
On receipt of your documents we will contact you and give you a quote on the rate of exchange. Once confirmed, transfer will be made.
Step 4
